The cornerstone of 'Permanent Wilting- is the west coast avant-premiere of 'Aqua Madora- (2006) for just intonation piano, dance, and film performed live by Randy Gibson (piano) and Dani Beauchamp (dancer). On the process, director Ana Baer-Carrillo says, 'It's been a very exciting process working with artists from Texas, New York, Colorado and California to create performances. The most enriching part of "Permanent Wilting" is the multiplicity of layers brought by artists of different disciplines and backgrounds.- Blending the borders between dance, theater, music and projected image, the works in 'Permanent Wilting- evoke a world of poetic imagery crafted into an ingenious evening.

'Permanent Wilting- is produced and presented by Avant Media Performance, Inc. a non-profit organization founded in 2003 by Gibson and Baer-Carrillo, and co-produced by Highways Performance Space. Performances are at 8:30 PM Friday and Saturday, August 17-18, 2007. Tickets are $20, $15 for students, and are available through highwaysperformance.org.
